Seafood paella with king prawns, mussels and clams in the pan, on a table at El Prado

Our cooking

Spanish and Italian cooking, with one speciality above all: paella, with meat or with seafood. And, while it cooks, tapas to share in the middle of the table.

  1. Four paellas

Seafood, Valencian, squid ink and vegetarian: cooked to order and brought to the table in the paellera.

  2. Tapas and pata negra

Fried anchovies, Galician-style octopus, brandada de bacalao and jamón ibérico de cebo sold by weight.

  3. Paella to take home

For takeaway the paella is vacuum-sealed in its pan straight after cooking, so it arrives still hot. Order by phone.

The dining room at El Prado: grey wall lined with framed chef caricatures and hanging plates, tables laid with colourful plates, red and yellow curtains at the back

The room

Charcoal-grey walls and, running the length of the room, a row of framed caricatures of famous chefs, each with its own plate and cutlery hung underneath, like a table laid on the wall. At the back, red and yellow curtains; at the tables, clear ghost chairs, colourful plates and a terrazzo floor.

The smaller room next door has burgundy walls, an exposed-brick arch and the wine cabinet.

In guests’ words

  • Paella is the queen of the house, but the tapas, wine and desserts leave their mark.
